my second stay at a lodge in picton was even better than the first! Glenda and Bob were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The newly redecorated rooms were stunning, and the heated pool and hot tub with mountain views were the icing on the cake.
Missed out on complimentary breakfast.

The staff at this lodge were absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Phil, the receptionist, was friendly and informative, giving us great tips for exploring the area. We loved the big communal kitchen, where we could store our food and cook if we wanted to. The upper deck provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning view of the marina. Mel, one of the staff members, kindly informed us about an early departure time for the ferry, ensuring that we didn't miss it.
We had a negative encounter with one of the staff members. Upon accidentally entering the private quarters, the woman owner reacted poorly and subsequently avoided us during our stay.

The homemade bread for breakfast was delicious and such a treat. the hosts were welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. the location was great, with beautiful views of the marina and close to the ferry terminal.
The lack of a guest washing machine was inconvenient, although the owners kindly offered to do our laundry for us. There was no air conditioning in the room, but there was good airflow.

The accommodation is located not far from the town center, making it convenient for exploring the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a fridge provided for storing personal items. Additionally, the lodge offers a well-equipped kitchen and a guest lounge, providing guests with the convenience of home away from home.
The breakfast timings do not align with the check-in time for the ferry, causing inconvenience for guests who wish to have breakfast before their early morning departure.

I especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor setting for balmy evenings. The hosts, Mel and Phil, were incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing helpful advice for a great stay. I was so impressed with the customer service at the lodge! When our flight got delayed and we arrived late in the night, I called ahead to see if we could still check in. The lady on the phone assured us it was no problem and even left our room unlocked for us to find. Walking into a warm room with the heater on and a note offering us milk for coffee was such a thoughtful gesture. The room itself was lovely and comfortable, exceeding our expectations. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay.
Although the room was comfortable, it had more of a bed and breakfast vibe rather than a traditional hotel. Our studio queen room was connected to a communal living space, and the private bathroom was located on the other side of the entry hall.
